Muay Thai

Muay Thai or Thai Boxing is a martial art practice that was originally developed in Thailand. The primary reason why this martial art has become famous is due to the emphasis on clinching and stand-up strikes. This martial art trains you to strike using your shins, fists, elbows, and even knees. You will surely need to train these parts efficiently to make your contact fight incredible. 

Also, this martial art uses brutal force. So you will not expect to have simple training on this one. You will need to strengthen your stamina, and your knees must be in perfect condition to have adequate training. Also, you may need a sparring partner to learn more about this practice. Due to Muay Thai’s rigorous training, it will surely make your fitness exercise even better.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Another martial art that you can practice is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It is a combat style that is mainly based on grappling and ground fighting. This martial art is originally rooted in Kodokan Judo, but it has become its own combat sport due to many martial arts developments. 

BJJ benefits both the physical and mental aspects of yourself. Its training makes you use vigorous movements using pressurized pushing, pulling, and holding in terms of physical. With this, it helps to strengthen your cardio and muscle formation. It also increases your weight loss. In terms of the mental aspect, BJJ allows you to improve your reasoning skills when planning for the next step that you will make. 

Mixed Martial Arts

Another martial art that you can try is Mixed Martial Arts or commonly known as MMA. For sure, you are familiar with this martial art since it’s pretty famous. MMA is a great way to learn self-defense. It is a combination of several martial arts techniques such as Wrestling, Judo, Boxing, and many more. 

The training for this martial art is very challenging since it comes from different martial arts styles. When you train for MMA, make sure that you are dedicated to exercise and practice in an extreme and hard way so you will be able to unleash your true potential in this sport. MMA has helped a lot of individuals regain their true self and confidence. 

Wrestling

Similar to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling is a combat sport that is based on ground fighting. This martial art emphasizes your upper body control. Also, Wrestling focuses on controlling the opponent. The training for this martial art is intense. You will undergo various exercises such as the deadlift, pull-ups, iso-chest press, front squat, and many more.

Tai Chi

If you are looking for a martial art that does not demand strong physical strain, Tai Chi is the best martial art for you. Tai Chi originated in China around 2000 years ago. Tai Chi mainly focuses on balance and not on the extreme strengthening of your muscles. It is suitable for beginners in martial arts training.

You can teach yourself Tai Chi, at home. However, it would consume much more time and effort since you have no guidance from a Tai Chi master. Also, practicing this martial art helps you improve your mood, reduce your stress, and boost your cognitive function.
